As we go forth into the summer months, we are sent by God to continue to do Jesus’s work in the world. Watch this video, Do Something by Matthew West and check out some ideas on how you can be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Your passport booklet received at the May gathering is a guide for your household. As you continue Jesus’s mission in the world this summer, stamp your passport -- or draw a picture or write a little description of what you did -- in a square. Check the suggestions below for ideas, but please don’t limit yourself to those suggestions! See how many squares your household can fill this summer!
o Pray when you wake, before meals and before bed o Pause and thank God for the good things that happen o Hold a door for someone when you go into the store o Go to a daily Mass o Visit a church when traveling o Complete a random act of kindness o Attend Adoration o Send a text, email, or letter to someone who needs it o Share your garden produce or other donations with the food pantry o Do chores without being asked or a sibling’s chore when they can’t o Invite a friend to go to church or VBS with you o Join @Christiantexts on Instagram and get a message from God o Learn a new prayer or say a spontaneous prayer o Create a prayer space or renovate your existing one o Do something for your grandparents or visit a nursing home o Take a hike together and thank God for the beauty of creation o Visit holy sites like the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend o When you buy school supplies in August, buy extra to donate o Donate the books and clothes you no longer use o Donate to our parish cleaning supply drive for refugees
